Tawkify

Venture-backed·Fee transparency: A·1 clean

The mass-market end of matchmaking — and one of the only firms that publishes itemised prices.

What Tawkify costs

Observed 2026-06-08. Where a fee is gated we say so — we never guess a number.

What you pay forFeeSource
Member (in the matching pool)~$99/yrsource
Client — 3 matches$4,500source
Client — 6 matches$7,900source
Client — 12 matches$14,400source

How it works: Two tiers: a low-cost member pool, or a paying client who buys curated matches with a 1-date/month guarantee

Claims vs evidence

What they promise — and whether anything backs it up.

  • At least one date per month for clients

    Supported

A stated service guarantee (a process promise), not an outcome/success rate. No audited success figure published.

Flags

Red = a documented, serious issue · amber = a friction/credibility concern · green = something notably honest.

  • 🟢

    Publishes itemised prices (rare)

Posts a clear client price ladder ($4,500 / $7,900 / $14,400) — unusual in a market that mostly gates fees.

Who owns Tawkify?

VC-backed startup co-founded 2012 by Kenneth Shaw and E. Jean Carroll; CEO Kellie Ammerman. Raised ~$58.3M; itself acquired the dating app S'More (2023).

Venture-backed (~$58.3M) and a mini-consolidator — bought the S'More app in 2023.

The verdict

The transparency benchmark for matchmaking: a clear client price ladder and a date-frequency guarantee. VC-backed and acquisitive, so the "personal" service runs at scale. A widely-repeated "$79.8M revenue" figure is unverified — we don't cite it.

Same lens, the whole industry

We decode dating apps, coaches and matchmakers the same way — what it costs, who owns it, and what the claims are worth. No affiliate money, anywhere.

Keep digging

We take no money from Tawkify or any matchmaker. Figures observed 2026-06-08from the firm's own page, mainstream press, or court records; gated fees recorded as gated; figures from VIDA Select (a competing matchmaker) flagged as an interested source. See methodology.
